Douglas and Sophie married twice. Standard behaviour non? Yup - they gathered their close family and wedding peoples for their lil’ register office ceremony in Sandwell last Friday afternoon…
…with the wedding yesterday held in Sophie’s Dad’s beautiful garden near Alvechurch, Worcestershire. Their personal ceremony was conducted by celebrant Jessica May (she’s blinkin’ lovely! If you are considering an independent ceremony, do get in touch with her). Despite the gloom and doom forecast for the weather, we somehow managed to a) hold the ceremony outside 2) not get tooooo soggy 3) see the sun come out and make everything perfect
Wedding Planner Supremo Emily of Emily K Weddings was thankfully on hand right through and kept things going brilliantly in the face of quite a few challenges: From broken generators playing havoc with the poor caterers to those torrential downpours meaning a good few changes in the plan for the day, she kept it all going so well, I don’t think any of the guests had even an inkling of the behind-the-scenes organising she dealt with all day!
Pretty Faces by Amy made sure the girls’ faces were suitably wedding-ready, whilst Sally Logue worked her magic on the collective bonces of Sophie, her bridesmaids and flower girls.
It was a day filled with all the fun and laughter you could wish for, and once that sun came out…Well, just see for youselves. Bloody perfect:
