Ben and Sophie's Oxford Wedding
Booooats! I bloody love boats. Big boats. small boats, dinghies, rowboats, sailboats, u-boats*, pirate ships and galleons. Oh, and gondolas, which is handy because that’s what we travelled by from the lovely St. Frideswide Church in Oxford upriver to the beautiful Medley Walled Garden.
(*Nope. Amy goes on the water, not under the water. It’s my rules)

It was a day of all the weathers on Saturday which Sophie, Ben and their guests took in their (literal) stride, walking to the church and back via the riverside path which runs directly from the venue into Oxford. The forecast rain held off just long enough to get away with prosecco outside the church, a few family pics and then a walk along the main road to the gondola, parked up waiting for our newly-marrieds :) Oh, and their tubby little photographer who got to awkwardly clamber in with them. The heavens opened as we headed off (of course they did) and another wedding celebration travelled past on their riverboat, with a quick exchange of ‘congratulations!!!’ between brides. River bride bros!
Amy’s gush about a wedding venue incoming…
The Walled Garden is another new location to add to my list of absolute favourites. The venue space is superb, nestled by a pond in beautifully kept gardens, open to the light and the view but not to the elements. It’s honestly a photographer’s dream.
Here is a big old gawp at the day and a masterclass in how to embrace the weather on your wedding day :) Click an image to open up in a slideshow to click through if you wanna…
