Amanda and Mike's Herefordshire Wedding

Amanda and Mike married* on the last Saturday in May at Grange Court in beautiful Leominster. Fun times, beers and superb scran were then had at the also beautiful Riverside Inn, Aymestrey.

Herefordshire was in full show-off mode for this one…

*I’ve popped an asterisk on because actually they had a civil partnership rather than a wedding ceremony. It’s the same really, but is also different. I’d love to tell you all about it, but someone at Hitched did the hard work for me, so you can find out here: Civil Partnership or Marriage You’re welcome. I’m here to educate and stuff.

I’ve known Mike since school, so when he and Amanda decided to get not-married-but-definitely-togethered, I dropped enough hints at Mike that he eventually gave in and asked if he could book me for their wedding. I pretended to be surprised and jumped at the chance - so when Amanda told me they had the A-Team van to take us to the ceremony, I nearly lost my tiny mind. I obviously invited myself onto (into) it and got to sit up front and witter at the lovely driver who I helpfully kept calling HannibalBAFaceMurdock which I’m sure he loved. There was also a lil’ yellow mini which I could’ve fit in too if they’d let me.

Here’s a sprinkling from the day…

A-Team Van: Not to shatter the illusion on this one, but there are a few and I didn’t get his details for which actual one. I’ll update as soon as poss because he was such a nice bloke. He can drive me around like a tubby lady Hannibal any day :)

Best Boy: Alvin, Mike’s hearing assistance dog and owner of the best hair at the wedding. He even got himself stung by a bee when he felt that not enough attention was being bestowed upon him. Now that’s commitment,
