Dayna and Peter's Bodenham Wedding
Another day, another hot one, and another gorgeous do to blog :)
Dayna and Peter married yesterday at St. John the Baptist church in Wolverley, Worcestershire, a very handy few minutes up the road from me - with celebrations afterwards at Bodenham Arboretum for perfect lakeside chilling (albeit not in the actual lake which would’ve been nice tbf)
The bride got ready at nearby Drakelow Manor Guest House with Nicola Honey on hair and make-up duty. The original plan had been to pop down the the nearby Queen’s Head pub in Wolverley village for a few drinks after the ceremony, but a power cut and gas leak (crivens!) meant that emergency traffic lights, gangs of visi-vests and an unsure opening time put the kibosh on that idea. So instead guests either wandered across the meadow to the Lock pub, or meandered over to beautiful Bodenham a bit early to find a comfy spot overlooking the lake whilst mahoosive carp came and blew bubbles at us. Pretty ideal I’d say :)
The food was a greek buffet and with band at the ready all we had to do was whizz through a few pics with close family as it was just too warm earlier. Peter is one of ten (what?) so the round up was fun! We also gained three new little bridesmaids in the form of Bodenham’s own adorable and very friendly call ducks. I may be a bit obsessed with them now. I’m back at bodenham next month, and if they don’t remember me I’ll be devastated…
Here’s a round up of a few from the day. Click to view in a slideshow doo-dad if that’s your style (which it should be because none of these are square and you’ll miss all the fun stuff that sometimes happens to the left or right of the middle bit)
